“Neftchi
\nSports Club\u201d again organized a mini-football tournament among oil, gas and
\nchemical industry workers. The tournament was dedicated to the “28 May \u2013
\nRepublic Day\u201d and 13 teams competed in four groups: Group “A\u201d: Information Technology and Communications Department,
\n“Absheron Oil” OGPD, “Oil and gas research project”
\nInstitute, Gas Storages Exploitation Division Department; Group “B\u201d:
\n“Surakhani Oil” Operation Company, “Siyazan-Oil\u201d OGPD, “Gas
\nExport” Department; Group “C\u201d: Ecology Department, “28 May\u201d OGPD, Heydar
\nAliyev Baku Oil Refinery; Group “D\u201d: Bahar Energy Operating Company,
\nTransportation Department and “Oil and gas construction” Trust.The second
\nmini-football tournament of the year was held on May 16-20 and the main purpose
\nof the competition were health protection of oil, gas and chemical industry
\nworkers, organization of their leisure time, as well as, assistance to
\nlarge-scale spread of mini-football and grand celebration of the “28 May \u2013 Republic Day\u201d.The tournament was held
\nin the Olympic Training-Sport Complex named after Tofig Ismayilov, in Surakhani
\nsettlement and semi-finals and finals were organized in the “Mashal\u201d Sports
\nComplex. As a rule, the teams, which occupying first two places in each
\nsubgroup, would gained qualify for the final stage. The teams of “A\u201d Group: Information
\nTechnology and Communications Department; “B\u201d Group: “Surakhani
\nOil” Operation Company, “Siyazan-Oil\u201d OGPD and “Gas Export”
\nDepartment; “C\u201d Group: Ecology Department and Heydar Aliyev Baku Oil Refinery; “D\u201d
\nGroup Transportation Department and “Oil and gas construction” Trust
\nsucceeded to do it. Among the mentioned
\nenterprises, the teams of “Surakhani Oil”, “Oil and gas
\nconstruction” Trust, Heydar Aliyev Baku Oil Refinery and Information
\nTechnology and Communications Department promoted to the semifinal. At this
\nstage, more powerful teams of “Surakhani Oil” and “Oil and gas
\nconstruction” Trust won and owned license to the final. In the fight for
\nthe third placethe teams of Information
\nTechnology and Communications Department faced with Heydar Aliyev Baku Oil
\nRefinery. On main time of the
\ngame the score was goalless draw and that\u2019s why, penalty strikes were applied.
\nConsequently, “Information\u201d team won \u2013 5:4. And in the decisive final match,
\n“Surakhani Oil” came face to face with the team of “Oil and gas
\nconstruction”. Both teams fought with determination to the end. But
\n“Surakhani Oil\u201d demonstrated more superior game than its opponent and won
\n\u2013 3:0.So, team of “Surakhani Oil”
\nOperation Company became winner of the mini-football tournament again. The
\nteams of Oil and gas construction” Trust was the 2nd and Information
\nTechnology and Communications Department was the 3rd.In addition,
\n“Neftchi Sports Club\u201d had also founded prizes on nominations “the
\nbest player”, “the most productive player” and “the best
\ngoalkeeper”. Mohkam Rustamov (“Surakhani Oil\u201d), Elman Manafov (Heydar
\nAliyev Baku Oil Refinery) and Ulvi Tarverdiyev (Information Technology and
\nCommunications Department) were the winners of the nominations.In the award ceremony, organized at the end of
\nthe tournament, “Neftchi\u201d Sports Club\u2019s manager of mass physical culture
\nAkif Mammadov made a speech and congratulated the participants of the race on
\nbehalf of head of club administration Sadig Sadigov, with occasion of the “28 May \u2013 Republic Day\u201d. He talked
\nabout the care of the physical education and sports and he said he said greater
\nevents would be organized after two years on the occasion of the 100th
\nanniversary of the Republic Day. Speaker thanked
\nthem for their activeness in the tournament and wished participants success in
\ntheir future endeavors. Then, he congratulated the winning teams with reference
