The European
\njudo championship continues in Kazan, Russia. 394 athletes from 46 countries
\nhave competed in the tournament, which is important
\nto win a license for Rio 2016 Summer Olympics.The national
\nteam of Azerbaijan has won a medal on the first day of the championship.The judoka of
\n“Neftchi\u201d Sports Club Orkhan Safarov has won the medal for our country. Competing
\nin the 60 kg weight category our sportsman has started the fight from the 1\/8
\nfinal. In the first meeting our athlete has won the judoka of Luxembourg Tom
\nSchmit and then has defeated the Belarusian representative Arif Baghirov
\n(Azerbaijani by origin). In the next match Safarov has won over the Dutchman Jeroen Muren and in the semi-final has defeated the sportsman of
\nItaly Elios Manzi and has reached to the final. But in the decisive match he
\nhas lost to the French Walide Khyar and has been awarded the silver medal of
\nthe European Championship.The club’s other
\njudoka competing in the same weight class Ilgar Mushkiyev has become the 7th
\nplace.Note that, the
