The Grand-Prix
\ntournament has ended in Samsun, the city if Turkey. 398 athletes (237 men, 161
\nwomen) have competed for the title of winner in the competition.Azerbaijan national
\nteam has been represented by 11 sportsmen in the tournament and has taken 2
\nmedals.Both medals belong to
\nthe graduates of “Neftchi\u201d Sports Club. Competing in the 90 kg weight category
\nMammadali Mehdiyev has won over the Georgian Ushangi Margiani, the Indian
\nathlete Avtar Singh and the PolishPatrick Ciechomski and has reached to
\nthe semifinal. At this stage, Mehdiyev has won the Brazilian Tiago Camilo has
\ntaken the license to the final. In the decisive match, our athlete has lost to the
\nrepresentative of Russia Husen Halmurzayev and has been awarded a silver medal
\nof the Samsun Grand-Prix.The club’s other
\nrepresentative, competing in the 60 kg weight category Ilgar Mushkiyev has won the
\nBelgian Senne Wyns, the Chinese Jianqi An and the Belarusian athlete Arif
\nBaghirov on the way to the semi-final.
\nBut in the semifinal Mushkiyev has lost to the local judoka Bakir Ozlu. In the
\nmatch for third place, he has won the Bulgarian Yanislav Gerchev and has won a
