Today, 24 years have
\npassed since the Khojaly tragedy. In the night from February 25 to 26, 1992 the
\nKhojaly genocide was implemented with the direct participation of the Armenian
\narmed forces, Armenian armed groups in the territory of Nagorno-Karabakh and
\nthe former USSR’s 366th regiment in Khankendi armored vehicles and military
\npersonnel. This massacre is one of the most horrible crimes committed against
\nhumanity in the XX century. Unprecedented cruelty committed against
\nAzerbaijanis in the Khojaly genocide 613 people were killed, 1,000 peaceful
\npeople of different ages became invalid from gunshot wounds. Including 106
\nwomen, 63 children, 70 old men were killed. 8 families were completely
\ndestroyed, 25 children lost both parents and 130 children lost one parent. 76
\nof the wounded were children. On the night of the tragedy, 1,275 peaceful
\nresidents were taken hostage, while the fate of 150 of them is still unknown.The staff of
\n“Neftchi\u201d Sports Club has visited the “Khojaly” monument in Khatai
\ndistrict erected in memory of victims of the tragedy. Flowers have been laid in
\nfront of the monument, the memory of the tragedy victims has been honored and
