“Neftchi\u201d Sports Club
\norganized the first tournament of 2016 among oil, gas and chemical industry
\nworkers. The volleyball tournament took place in the Gym Complex operating
\nwithin the club. In the five-day race 9 teams were fighting in two groups. In
\n“A\u201d Group the team of Information Technology and Communication Department, “Absheronneft”
\nOGED, Transportation Department, “Neftgastikinti\u201d Trust, OGPD named after H.Z.
\nTaghiyev; in “B\u201d Group the team of “Neft Dashlari” OGED, “Gas
\nExport” Department “Siyazanneft” OGED and “28 May”
\nOGED have taken place.The main goal of the
\ntournament was protection of health of oil, gas and chemical industry workers,
\ncontinuing their physical training and mass sports skills, development of
\npopularization of physical culture among oil workers and recruitment of the
\nteam of trade unions the area to the Republican Spartakiade.According to the
\nrules, the teams that took the first 2 places would achieve a license to the
\nsemifinal. The teams of Information Technology and Communication Department and
\nTransportation Department from group “A\u201d; the teams of “Neft
\nDashlari” OGED and “Gas Export” Department from “B\u201d group were able
\nto do it. In both matches were recorded the same score in the semi-final stage.
\nSo that, Information Technology and Communication Department won “Gas
\nExport” Department and “Neft Dashlari” won Transportation Department
\nwith the score of 2:0. In the match held for the third place the team of Transportation
\nDepartment made better impression and won over its opponent “Gas
\nExport” eventually. In the decisive final match the most powerful two teams
\nof the tournament \u2013 the teams of Information Technology and Communication Department
\nand “Neft Dashlari” OGED came face to face. In the tense match the
\nfirst team was superior and was considered the favorite of not only this match,
\nand even the tournament. So, it\u2019s happened. Information Technology and
\nCommunication Department won its opponent with the score of 2:0 in the end.Thus, Information
\nTechnology and Communication Department became the winner of the tournament. “Neft
\nDashlari” took the second place and the team of Transportation Department
\ntook the third place.In the tournament ranked
\nthe 1st, 2nd and 3rd teams were presented with diplomas and valuable gifts by
