In year 1997, when
\nIlham Aliyev chosen to be the president of National Olympic committee, new
\nstages of Olympic begun in our country. Azerbaijan fastly entered into the
\nworld\u2019s athletic family. Since 2003 under leadership of president Ilham Aliyev,
\naccording with strategy, sport turned into government\u2019s prior policies. At
\nfirst, modern equipment and Olympic sport complexes based on world standards built
\nall over country, including regions. And with this president Ilham Aliyev put
\nthis as a goal to create a new generation of athletes, and with his attention
\nand care toward development of this field, our athletes achieved a high success
\nin international competitions.Today our
\ngovernment\u2019s sport policy still continues successfully. New sport Complex built
\nin Aghsu is also part of this policy. The complex built by initiative and
\nsupport of Heydar Aliyev foundation construction works has been done with
\nhighest quality and it has been finished recently.In the yard of
\ncomplex, support showed by national leader Heydar Aliyev to athletes, in
\ndifferent periods photos of trips to Aghsu has been documented. Meanwhile,
\nthere are photos reflexing President Ilham Aliyev\u2019s attention in development of
\nsport and his trips to this region.In 17thof
\nSeptember head of government during his visit to Aghsu region has been
\nparticipated in opening of sport complex.In October 5th,
\nwith participation of a group including members of sport society complex
\nstarted its activity. “Neftchi\u201d Sports Club\u2019s managing leader Sadig Sadigov,
\nOlympic, World and Europe champion and winner Elnur Mammadli, Rasul Chunayev,
\nRovshan Bayramov, Haji Aliyev, Rauf Aghayev, Nizami Pashayev and others, also
\nrepresenters of Aghsu region leadership with a large team has been participated
\nand mentioned their thoughts about complex and wished luck for athletes.Spokesmen started
\ntalking about care and attention toward sport in our country. Satisfaction
\nexpressed by start of activities of a high quality sport centre also mentioned
\nabout the numerous athletes\u2019 training and representing our country worthfully
\nin international arenas.Note that in Aghsu
\nSports Complex for boxing, judo, wrestling, weightlifting, swimming, taekwondo
\nand other types of sport activities the highest conditions has been created. We
\nbelieve that athletes raised in this complex worthfully will represent our
\ncountry in different types of sports in the international competitions and will
