The first International Olympic Day was celebrated in 9 countries on June 23, 1948. In order to celebrate this day more solemnly and with the participation of all national Olympic committees, Olympic Running Day was held in 1987.<br>In Azerbaijan, International Olympic Running Day was first organized in 1996.
