This year marks the sixth anniversary of the commemoration of this significant day, which is observed across the country with profound respect and reverence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Established by an Order signed by President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on December 2, 2020, Remembrance Day serves as a tribute to the soldiers and officers who fought heroically in the Patriotic War and sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, as well as to all Azerbaijani martyrs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On this day, the Azerbaijani people honor the cherished memory of the heroes who sacrificed their lives for the country\u2019s independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity, and offer prayers for their souls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At 12:00 on September 27, a one-minute nationwide silence was observed in remembrance of the martyrs.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>September 27 is observed as Remembrance Day in Azerbaijan.
