The competition, held at the famous PAOK Sports Arena, features a record number of participants in the history of the championships, with 713 athletes from 40 countries competing for 55 sets of medals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sambists from Neftchi Sports Club, representing the Azerbaijan national team, have put in a confident performance, winning two medals at the World Championships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the junior competition, Elgun Shiralizadeh (79 kg) defeated Armenia\u2019s Tigran Khorozian in the repechage bout and Mongolia\u2019s Batmunkh Bat-Ulzii in the bronze medal bout to claim a bronze medal at the World Championships.In the youth competition, Tuncay Shamil (98 kg) advanced to the final.
