He went on to defeat Tumenjargal Tuvshintur (Mongolia), Harsh Singh (India), Ayub Bliev (Russia), and, in the semi-final, Yang Yung-Wei (Chinese Taipei) to secure his place in the final.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the decisive bout, Ahmad Yusifov defeated Kazakhstan\u2019s Sherzod Davlatov to become world champion and claim the first medal for Azerbaijan at the championships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It should be noted that the prestigious competition, which will continue until October 11, features 622 judokas (335 men and 287 women) from 93 countries.
