The Azerbaijan championship among wrestlers under the age of seventeen (U-17) has ended at the Astara Olympic Sports Complex. Greco-Roman wrestlers competed in the last days of the tournament.
Greco-Roman wrestlers of the “Neftchi” Sports Club won 4 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze medals in the competition. Our athletes Abdurrahman Huseynli (45 kg), Gurban Majnunov (48 kg), Ramil Musayev (65 kg) and Said Pashayev (92 kg) won all their matches and became national champions. Emil Abbasov (80 kg) was awarded a silver medal, and Amin Nasibov (92 kg) was awarded a bronze medal.
It should be noted that the freestyle wrestlers of our club finished the national championship with 4 gold, 6 silver and 5 bronze medals.
