June 15 – A kung-fu tournament dedicated to the National Salvation Day was organized.
The athletes of the “Neftchi” Sports Club successfully performed in the competition held at the Shagan Olympic Sports Complex, winning 5 gold and 1 silver medals. Our athletes Eldar Abiyev (2015-2016, 33 kg), Elmin Guliyev (2013-2014, 33 kg), Sardar Abiyev (2013-2014, 45 kg), Nijat Tagiyev (2009-2010, 48 kg) and Abulfaz Yagubov (2007-2008, 60 kg) won all their rivals and were awarded with gold medals. And the athlete Nihad Huseynov (2013-2014, 36 kg), finished the tournament with a silver medal.
