The judokas of the “Neftchi” Sports Club won 3 medals (2 gold, 1 bronze) on the first day of the Grand Prix tournament held in Guadalajara, Mexico. One of our representatives, Balabey Aghayev (60 kg), defeated Brazilian Michel Augusto by ippon in the final and rose to the highest step of the podium. Ruslan Pashayev (66 kg) also achieved the same success by defeating Lucas Sahan (Finland) in the final. Another of our athletes, Ahmad Yusifov (60 kg), won a bronze medal by defeating Frenchman Enzo Jean in the match for third place.

It should be noted that 231 judokas (142 men, 89 women) from 33 countries are competing in the tournament.
