The Grand Prix tournament on judo held in Guadalajara, Mexico, has concluded.
On the last day of the competition, the representative of the “Neftchi” Sports Club, Ushangi Kokauri (+100 kg), took to the tatami. Our athlete, who fought confidently in the tournament, defeated two-time Olympic champion Lukas Krpalek (Czech Republic) by ippon in the final and won the gold medal.
It should be noted that earlier, our judokas Balabey Aghayev (60 kg), Ruslan Pashayev (66 kg) and Hidayet Heydarov (73 kg) won gold medals, and Ahmad Yusifov (60 kg) won bronze medals.
