The U-17 Azerbaijan Wrestling Championship continues. The competition has finished at the tournament held at the Ganja Sports Palace.
Greco-Roman wrestlers of the “Neftchi” Sports Club performed successfully and won 13 medals (5 gold, 5 silver, 3 bronze) of the national championship. Our athletes Abdurrahman Huseynli (51 kg), Gurban Majnunov (55 kg), Elmir Cherkazov (60 kg), Orkhan Habibli (65 kg) and Zohrab Safarov (92 kg) defeated all their rivals and rose to the highest step of the podium. Huseyn Mustafazade (51 kg), Ali Mammadov (71 kg), Isfahan Hasanov (80 kg), Abelfaz Farajli (92 kg), Mahammad Mustafayev (110 kg) won silver medals, while Ilkin Gurbanov (51 kg), Amin Mammadov (55 kg) and Ibrahim Babayev (71 kg) won bronze medals. It should be noted that “Neftchi” Sports Club took first place in the team event.
