The U-17 Azerbaijan Wrestling Championship, held at the Ganja Sports Palace, has concluded. On the final days of the competition, freestyle wrestlers stepped onto the mat.

Freestyle wrestlers of the “Neftchi” Sports Club finished the tournament with 10 medals (4 gold, 4 silver, and 2 bronze).

Among our representatives, Rashid Nazarov (65 kg), Tunar Guliyev (71 kg), Nihad Suleymanov (80 kg), and Hakim Taghiyev (110 kg) celebrated championship titles without suffering a single defeat. Aliaga Suleymanov (55 kg), Akbar Asgarov (51 kg), Hasan Hasanov (71 kg), and Farid Ismayilov (92 kg) secured second place, while Ruslan Veliyev (71 kg) and Nijat Mustafayev (110 kg) finished third.

It should be noted that “Neftçi” Sports Club ranked second in the overall team standings.
