In the boys’ competition, Aykhan Gasimov (73 kg), Tunar Ganbarli (81 kg), Kamran Hajiyev (90 kg), Nihad Melikli (+90 kg) took second place, and Nizami Hajili (55 kg), Nihad Isayev (66 kg), Saladdin Alismanov (81 kg) and Mahammad Mammadli (90 kg) took third place.
It should be noted that the purpose of the “Talent Selection” competition is to form a healthy sub-base of the national team, identify promising athletes who can be candidates for the national team, and form a stable reserve base. The athletes who are in the top 4 places in each weight category in the final ranking of the two rounds will be involved in the “Hopes of the Future” training program.
