The freestyle wrestlers of the “Neftchi” Sports Club, who are part of the Azerbaijani national team, started the “Muhamet Malo” tournament held in the capital of Albania, Tirana, with 2 medals.
Rashid Babazadeh, who competed in the sixty-five kilogram weight category, lost to Indian U-23 world champion Sujet Sujet in the decisive final of the rating tournament and was awarded a silver medal.
Our other athlete, Arseniy Djioyev (86 kg), won the bronze medal in the match for third place, defeating American two-time Olympic medalist and four-time world champion Kyle Dake.
