A chess tournament was held among employees of oil, gas and chemical industry enterprises (SOCAR enterprises and joint ventures) jointly organized by the “Neftchi” Sports Club and the Social Development Department. 33 participants (27 men, 6 women) from 15 teams competed for the title of winner in the tournament held at the Garadagh Training and Sports Base.
In the women’s competition, Natalia Gauzer (“Neftgazelmitedgigatlayiha” Institute) won the tournament. Guler Tahmazova (“Neftgazelmitedgigatlayiha” Institute) took second place, and Leyla Isganderli (Urbamid Plant) took third place.
In the men’s competition, Mubariz Rustamov, a representative of the Training, Education and Certification Department, rose to the highest step of the podium. Emil Aliyev (“SOCAR Polymer” LLC) took second place, and Nazim Ismayilov (Security Department) took third place.
The winners and prize-winners were presented with diplomas, medals and valuable souvenirs by the “Neftchi” Sports Club.
