On May 15, 2026, SOCAR President Rovshan Najaf met with the SOCAR team that emerged victorious in the 4th Mini-Football Tournament among state institutions dedicated to the memory of National Leader Heydar Aliyev.

Congratulating the team on their outstanding achievement after completing the tournament undefeated and securing a convincing victory in the final, Rovshan Najaf emphasized that this success was the result of professionalism, disciplined teamwork, and a strong determination to win.

The SOCAR President also noted that the recognition of one of the team’s leading players, Elnur Huseynov, as the tournament’s “Best Player” was an additional source of pride. Furthermore, he expressed confidence that, following this successful performance, the team would represent Azerbaijan with distinction at the 3rd World Corporate Games, to be held in Casablanca, Kingdom of Morocco, from June 5 to 7, 2026.

As part of the meeting, certificates of appreciation were presented to the team members by Hafiz Zeynalov, Chief of Staff of SOCAR and Chairman of the Board of the Neftchi Sports Club, in recognition of their high level of professionalism, team spirit, and valuable contribution to the team’s remarkable victory in the tournament.
