“Neftchi” Sports Club para-taekwondo athlete Sabir Zeynalov won the silver medal at the Open Challenge Tournament held in Chuncheon, South Korea.

Competing in the 58 kg weight category, the Azerbaijani Paralympic athlete was defeated by Turkish athlete Ali Can Ozcan in the final.

On his way to the final, Zeynalov defeated Timur Baitimirov of Russia, Temirbek Khaulyeti of Mongolia, and Fayoz Valijonov of Uzbekistan.

It should be noted that the tournament awards ranking points for qualification for the Los Angeles 2028 Summer Paralympic Games.
