The U23 World Wrestling Championships are underway in Las Vegas, USA.

Gunay Gurbanova (59 kg), a women’s wrestler from Neftchi Sports Club competing for the Azerbaijani national team, delivered a strong performance to reach the final of the prestigious tournament. In the gold-medal bout, she faced Ukraine’s Alina Filipovych. The closely contested match ended in a 4–4 draw, but her opponent was declared the winner under the last-point criterion. Gurbanova thus finished the championships in second place, earning the silver medal.
