The European Judo Championship continues in Podgorica, the capital of Montenegro.
On the third day of the competition, the judoka of the “Neftchi” Sports Club, Zelim Tchkayev (81 kg), who is represented by the Azerbaijani national team, faced off against Moldovan Petru Pelivan in the bronze medal match. The fate of the medal was decided in extra minutes. Zelim Tchkayev defeated his opponent by ippon and became the third in Europe.
It should be noted that earlier, another representative of our club, Ahmad Yusifov (60 kg), also won the bronze medal of the continental championship.
