Freestyle wrestler Hasan Hasanov (60 kg) of the “Neftchi” Sports Club won a prize at the U-17 World Championship held in the Greece, the capital of Athens. Our wrestler won a convincing victory over Pavlos Ntiantiadis from Greece and Ulukman Zhekshenkulov from Kyrgyzstan in the consolation matches. He defeated Canadian Nathan Nash in the match for third place (5:4) and was awarded a bronze medal.
Recall that earlier, one of the freestyle wrestlers of our club, Huseyn Ismayilov (65 kg), became the world champion, and Hakim Tagiyev (110 kg) took third place. Our Greco-Roman wrestler Abdurrahman Huseynli (45 kg) also won a bronze medal at the World Championship.
