Ruzanna Mammadova, a female wrestler from the “Neftchi” Sports Club, confidently competed at the U-20 World Championship held in Samokov, Bulgaria, and won a silver medal. Representing our country in the 62 kg weight category, Mammadova was defeated in the decisive final match by China’s Yangzhen Yangzhen, based on the last-point principle (6:6).

It is worth noting that earlier, our club’s freestyle wrestlers Nurlan Agazade (70 kg) and Yusif Dursunov (125 kg), along with female wrestler Gunay Gurbanova (59 kg), won bronze medals.
