The European Judo Championship, held in Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia, is ongoing.

Today, another representative of the “Neftchi” Sports Club, competing as part of the Azerbaijan national team, earned a medal. Our judoka, Zelim Tckayev (81 kg), secured third place at the European Championship. He defeated Belgium’s Matthias Casse in the bronze medal match and stepped onto the third place of the podium.

It should be noted that in the previous days of the prestigious tournament, which has brought together 400 athletes from 46 countries, other athletes from our club also achieved success: Hidayat Heydarov (73 kg) won silver, while Ahmad Yusifov (60 kg) claimed bronze.
