The U-23 European Wrestling Championship, held in Zrenjanin, Serbia, continues.

Greco-Roman wrestler Farid Sadikhli (55 kg) of the “Neftchi” Sports Club fought with determination and reached the final of the prestigious competition. Our representative lost to Russian Alibek Amirova in the decisive match and won the silver medal of the European Championship.

It should be noted that previously, one of the female wrestlers of our club, Gunay Gurbanova (59 kg), became the European champion, and Ruzanna Mammadova (62 kg) took second place. Among our freestyle wrestlers, Jeyhun Allahverdiyev (61 kg) and Yusif Dursunov (125 kg) won silver, and Zafar Aliyev (97 kg) won bronze.
