A backgammon competition was organized jointly by “Neftchi” Sports Club and the Social Development Department among employees of oil, gas and chemical industry enterprises.

37 participants (29 men, 8 women) from 16 organizations demonstrated their skills in the tournament held at the “Mashal” Sports Complex.

In the women’s competition, the representative of the Social Development Department, Naiba Safarova, won the title of tournament winner. Samira Jafarova (Social Development Department) came in second, and Amaliya Seyidova (“Azerkimya” Production Association) came in third.

In the men’s competition, Ali Abbasov (Training, Education and Certification Department) surpassed all his rivals. Meyvaddin Ramaldanov (“Neftgaztikinti” Trust) and Famil Abdullayev (“SOCAR Downstream” Management) shared the second and third places, respectively.

The participants of the competition who took 1st, 2nd and 3rd places were awarded with diplomas, medals and valuable souvenirs by the “Neftchi” Sports Club.
