“Neftchi” Sports Club’s female wrestler Gunay Gurbanova (59 kg) performed confidently at the U-20 European Championship held in Caorle, Italy, and achieved great success. Our female athlete won a 7:1 victory over her Turkish opponent Sevim Akbash in the final match and won the gold medal of the European Championship.
It should be noted that another athlete of our club, Ruzanna Mammadova, also reached the final. Her opponent in the final will be German Leonie Steigert.
It should be noted that previously, our Greco-Roman wrestlers Davud Mammadov (77 kg) won silver and Faraim Mustafayev (67 kg) won bronze.
