The U-20 AJF Cup was held at the Absheron Olympic Sports Complex. 136 judokas (114 boys, 22 girls) from 34 clubs and sports societies competed in 12 weight categories.
Karim Karimli, a judoka from the “Neftchi” Sports Club, who competed in the 60 kg weight category, was awarded the bronze medal of the tournament.
It should be noted that in judo, ne-waza skills allow athletes to develop and improve their ground (parterre) techniques during matches. These skills play an important role in the formation of important strategies for both avoiding tricks and effectively defeating an opponent.
