
On May 19, a delegation from Neftchi Sports Club Public Union (Neftchi SC) visited Barcelona, Spain, at the official invitation of the Johan Cruyff Institute.
Representing the Neftchi SC were Faraj Aliyev, Advisor to the Chairman of the Board of Directors, and Emil Karimov, Head of the International Relations and Communications Department. During their visit, the delegation attended the Cruyff Networking event organized by the institute and held a series of bilateral meetings with key figures, including CEO Albert Romans; Albert Capellas, Managing Director of the Cruyff Football Platform and a renowned specialist with experience at leading European clubs such as FC Barcelona; and Marc Serra, co-owner of CF Badalona SAD and lecturer at the institute, among other senior officials.
The discussions focused on potential areas for collaboration and future opportunities. As a key outcome of the visit, the parties signed a Memorandum of Cooperation.
This agreement aims to enhance international collaboration between Neftchi SC and the Johan Cruyff Institute. It will support the professional development of athletes, coaches, and administrative staff, promote the exchange of knowledge in sports research and innovation, and facilitate the organization of joint sporting events, seminars, and conferences. The memorandum also includes plans for cooperative initiatives in the social and media spheres.
