The National Cup in Powerlifting and Bench Press Sports was held at the Shuvelan Weightlifting Center. More than 80 athletes from different cities and regions of the republic participated in the competition.

Kamran Badalov (66 kg), an athlete from the “Neftchi” Sports Club, became the winner of the Azerbaijan Cup in Powerlifting. Another athlete, Azer Aliyev (120 kg), lifted 215 kilograms in the bench press and won the gold medal.
