The Marseille (France) stage of the FIBA 3×3 Women’s Series has come to an end.

Representing Azerbaijan in the tournament, the “Neftchi SOCAR” team competed in Group A, where they defeated the national teams of Hungary (19:18) and Slovakia (21:14). Finishing as group leaders, the team advanced to the quarter-finals, where they defeated Uganda 18:15. In the semi-final, they overcame the French national team 14:10, earning a place in the final.

In the final match, “Neftchi SOCAR” faced the strong Canadian national team and won with a score of 15:9, becoming the champions of the Marseille stage.

“Neftchi SOCAR” player Arika Carter was named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player (MVP).

It is worth noting that “Neftchi SOCAR” had also won the Orléans (France) stage of the competition in June.
