The World Boxing Championship, held in Liverpool, England, continues.
Saidjamshid Jafarov (75 kg), a boxer from the “Neftchi” Sports Club, who is represented by the Azerbaijani national team, continues his successful performance at the world championship. He faced Ukrainian Pavlo Ilyusha in the quarter-finals. Our athlete won a 5:0 (29:28, 29:28, 29:28, 30:27, 29:28) victory over his opponent and secured at least a bronze medal for himself thanks to this victory.
Saidjamshid Jafarov will fight Uzbekistan’s Fazliddin Erkinboyev in the semi-final match to be held on September 12.
