The Boxing World Cup held in Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil, has come to an end.

One of the representatives of the “Neftchi” Sports Club in the national team, Saidjamshid Jafarov (75 kg), fought with great determination throughout the competition and advanced to the final. In the decisive bout, our athlete faced Brazil’s Tauan Silva. Winning all three rounds on the judges’ scorecards, Saidjamshid Jafarov defeated his opponent 5–0 (30–27, 30–27, 30–27, 29–28, 30–27) and claimed the gold medal of the World Cup.

Another boxer, Nabi Iskandarov (70 kg), finished the competition in third place, earning a bronze medal.
