The Azerbaijan fencing championship, jointly organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Azerbaijan Fencing Federation, has concluded. The competition was held in the fencing hall of the Sports Palace of the Azerbaijan Technical University.
In the sabre event, Saleh Mammadov, a representative of the “Neftchi” Sports Club, defeated all his rivals and became the national champion. Murad Akbarov won the silver medal. Sabina Karimova became among women.
In the epee competition, Barat Guliyev, who did not admit defeat, won the gold medal of the republican championship.
