The rating tournament held in the capital of Hungary, Budapest, has concluded. Greco-Roman wrestlers competed in the last days of the competition.

Greco-Roman wrestlers, who are part of our national team of the “Neftchi” Sports Club, won 3 medals in the tournament.

One of our representatives, Nihat Mammadli (60 kg), defeated Korean Seunghak Kim (9:0), Uzbek Mehraj Bahramova (4:0) and Serbian Georgi Tibilova (3:2) and reached the final. He won a convincing victory over Indian Sumit Sumit in the decisive match (5:1) and climbed to the highest step of the podium. Islam Abbasov (87 kg) and Murad Ahmadiyev (97 kg) finished the tournament in third place.

Recall that earlier, our club’s freestyle wrestler Ali Rahimzade (65 kg) won a silver medal.
