The republican championship among judokas under 20 (U-20) has ended at the Absheron Olympic Sports Complex. 191 judokas (158 boys, 33 girls) from 58 clubs and sports societies demonstrated their skills in 13 weight categories.

The students of the “Neftchi” Sports Club fought with determination and won 8 medals (3 gold, 1 silver, 4 bronze) and took first place in the overall team score.

Our judokas Nihad Mamishov (66 kg), Aynur Mirzagayeva (70 kg) and Asmar Aliyeva (78 kg) defeated all their rivals and experienced the joy of becoming national champions. Suleyman Shukurov (81 kg) won silver, while Mahammad Rustamli (60 kg), Ayan Aliyeva (63 kg), Ahmad Rustamov (66 kg) and Jasur Ibadli (81 kg) won bronze medals.

It should be noted that on the last day of the competition, the “Neftchi” Sports Club also won the team competition among boys.
