A kickboxing tournament dedicated to the 103rd anniversary of the birth of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev was held at the “Sarhadchi” Sports Center with the support of the Azerbaijan Kickboxing Federation and the organization of the Special Purpose Sports Club. About 400 athletes from 44 teams tested their strength in the competition organized among seniors, juniors and cadets.
Mehdi Alvasov (81 kg), one of the kickboxers of the “Neftchi” Sports Club who participated in the tournament, fought with determination among men, won all the fights and won the gold medal. Fazil Panahov (60 kg) was awarded the bronze medal. Our other athlete Murad Gurbanov (67 kg) took the third place.
