The European Boxing Championship held among schoolchildren in Zlatibor, Serbia, has concluded.
The students of the “Neftchi” Sports Club, who are represented in the Azerbaijani national team, demonstrated great determination and won 2 gold and 2 silver medals.
One of our boxers, Nurlan Museyibli (66 kg), defeated Russian Albert Fedotenkov 4:1 (29:28, 30:27, 30:27, 29:28, 27:30) in the decisive final match, and Ziraddin Rustamli (70 kg) defeated Serbian Dragan Todorovic with complete advantage and became the European champion.
Other athletes, Babek Abdullayev (40 kg) and Eljan Musazade (50 kg) were awarded silver medals.
It should be noted that the Azerbaijani national team, which won 3 gold, 10 silver and 9 bronze medals, ranked second in Europe in the team standings with this scores.
