The team of twelve-year-old football players of the “Neftchi” Sports Club successfully completed the 2024-2025 season in the Azerbaijan Championship (Northern region, Absheron zone) organized by AFFA. Our team, which played in the U-12 League, fought confidently in all games throughout the season. Thus, the team led by Ramiz Saadatov won the championship with 41 points without losing in any of the 15 matches it played (13 wins, 2 draws).
Today, at a ceremony organized at the Tofig Ismayilov Olympic Training and Sports Complex in Surakhani settlement, the members of the team that achieved great success were awarded by the “Neftchi” Sports Club.
It should be noted that the U-11 team of our club, which played in the lower age group leagues organized by AFFA, finished the season in third place, and the U-13 team in sixth place. Our U-14 team finished the first group stage of the championship, as well as the second group stage of the playoffs, as leaders and is currently successfully continuing its fight in the round of 16.
Let us also add that 16 teams competed in each of the mentioned leagues.
