The U-20 European Wrestling Championship held in Caorle, Italy, continues.

The wrestler Ruzanna Mammadova (62 kg), who is represented by the Azerbaijani national team of the “Neftchi” Sports Club, demonstrated great determination and became the winner of the European Championship. Our female athlete defeated German Leonie Steigert in the final with a score of 4:3.

It should be noted that Ruzanna Mammadova became the European champion among juniors for the second time in a row.

It should be noted that earlier, our Greco-Roman wrestlers Davud Mammadov (77 kg) won a silver medal, and Faraim Mustafayev (67 kg) won a bronze medal. Among our female wrestlers, Gunay Gurbanova (59 kg) won a gold medal.
