A Grand Prix tournament in para taekwondo, featuring the world’s top-ranked athletes, has been held in Muju, South Korea.

Sabir Zeynalov, a representative of “Neftçi” Sports Club competing in the K44 category and 58 kg weight division, achieved a major success at the tournament. Our representative defeated Japan’s Mitsuya Tanaka in the quarterfinals and Taiwan’s Xiang Wen in the semifinals to advance to the final. In the decisive bout, he also defeated Brazil’s Gustavo Ruppel to claim the tournament’s gold medal.
