A table tennis competition was held among employees of oil, gas and chemical industry enterprises jointly organized by the “Neftchi” Sports Club and the SOCAR Social Development Department. 46 participants (32 men, 14 women) from 20 enterprises participated in the tournament held at the “Shua” Sports Complex.

The main purpose of the competition was to determine the team that will represent SOCAR in this sport in the tournament to be organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports among employees of state institutions. Among men, Iftikhar Maharramov, a representative of the Baku Higher Oil School, rose to the highest step of the podium. Saleh Ismayilli (Carbamide Plant) won the silver medal, and Zamig Amirov (“Caspian Innovation Center”) won the bronze medal.

In the women’s competition, Nargiz Dashdemirova, an employee of the Department for the Development of Labor Standards, won the gold medal. Aziza Jafarova (Baku Higher Oil School) took second place, and Shahla Abdullayeva (Azerkimya Production Association) took third place.

The medalists were awarded diplomas, medals and souvenirs by the Neftchi Sports Club.
