The first round of the U-14 Judo League has been successfully completed, bringing together some of the country’s most promising young talents. The tournament, held at the Absheron Olympic Sports Complex, featured 541 judokas (452 boys and 89 girls) representing 94 clubs and sports societies, competing across 18 weight categories for top honors.

Among the standout performers from Neftchi Sports Club, Davud Aliyev (55 kg) delivered an impressive campaign, advancing to the final and securing a silver medal after a hard-fought bout. Meanwhile, Ali Allahveranli and Umid Aliyev (both +73 kg) demonstrated strong performances to claim bronze medals in their respective divisions.

It is worth noting that three rounds of the U-14 Judo League are scheduled to take place this year. These competitions will play a crucial role in shaping the athletes’ positions in the overall ranking system.
