The U20 European Wrestling Championship continues in Skopje, the capital of North Macedonia.

Representing the “Neftchi” Sports Club, women’s wrestler Gunay Gurbanova (59 kg) delivered a determined performance and reached the final of the competition.

In the decisive final bout, the Azerbaijani athlete was defeated by Sweden’s Karin Samuelsson with a score of 2:10, earning the silver medal at the continental championship.

It should be recalled that earlier, our club’s Greco-Roman wrestlers Ayxan Javadli (60 kg) and Elmin Aliyev (82 kg) won bronze medals at the prestigious tournament.
