Female wrestler of “Neftchi” Sports Club Gunay Gurbanova (59 kg) achieved great success at the U-23 European Championship held in Zrenjanin, Serbia. Our female athlete demonstrated determination and won the gold medal of the prestigious competition. She defeated Marta Hetmanava from Belarus in the decisive final.

It should be noted that previously, freestyle wrestlers of our club Jeyhun Allahverdiyev (61 kg) and Yusif Dursunov (125 kg) won silver medals, and Zafar Aliyev (97 kg) won bronze medals.
