The AJF Cup in ne-waza was held among judokas under the age of twenty (U-20). 145 athletes (113 boys, 32 girls) from 32 clubs and sports societies competed in 13 weight categories in the tournament held at the Absheron Olympic Sports Complex.
The athletes of the “Neftchi” Sports Club won 9 medals (2 gold, 3 silver, 4 bronze) of the competition. Our judokas Karim Karimli (60 kg) and Sevil Abdulzadeh (52 kg) won all their matches and took the cup. Bahadir Feyzullayev (60 kg), Aynur Mirzagayeva (70 kg), Asmar Aliyeva (78 kg), who lost only in the decisive match, won silver medals, while Rasul Amirzade (73 kg), Gulay Hagverdiyeva (52 kg), Ilaha Azizzade (63 kg) and Zahra Ibadova (78 kg) won bronze medals.
