Freestyle wrestlers of the “Neftchi” Sports Clubs won 3 more medals (1 gold, 2 silver) on the final day of the European Championships held in Tirana, the capital of Albania.

Among the members of the national team, Giorgi Meshvildishvili (125 kg) became the European champion after defeating Hungary’s Vladislav Baytsayev in the final bout.

Turan Bayramov (74 kg) lost to Taymuraz Salmazanov (Slovakia) in the decisive match, while Arseniy Djioev (86 kg) was defeated by Ibrahim Kadiev (UWW), both earning silver medals.

It should be noted that earlier, Greco-Roman wrestlers Hasrat Jafarov (67 kg) and Gurban Gurbanov (82 kg) became European champions. Rashad Mammadov (55 kg), Nihat Mammadli (60 kg), and Islam Abbasov (87 kg) also secured bronze medals.

In addition, the club’s female wrestlers Jala Aliyeva (57 kg) and Gunay Gurbanova (59 kg) were awarded bronze medals.
