The European Wrestling Championships held in Tirana have come to an end.

Representatives of Neftchi Sports Club demonstrated great determination and won a total of 10 medals (3 gold, 2 silver, and 5 bronze) at the prestigious tournament.

Among our Greco-Roman wrestlers, Hasrat Jafarov (67 kg) and Gurban Gurbanov (82 kg) claimed gold medals at the European Championships. Rashad Mammadov (55 kg), Nihat Mammadli (60 kg), and Islam Abbasov (87 kg) secured bronze medals.

Among the club’s women wrestlers, Jala Aliyeva (57 kg) and Gunay Gurbanova (59 kg) were awarded bronze medals at the continental championship.

Among our freestyle wrestlers, Giorgi Meshvildishvili (125 kg) stood on the top step of the podium, while Turan Bayramov (74 kg) and Arseniy Djioyev (86 kg) won silver medals.
